FAQ
1. What is DLP?
- DLP is the abbreviation for Digital Light Processing, a 3D printing technique.
- DLP can cure a 2-dimensional surface at once like beam projection technology in which an image is irradiated onto a screen. Each layer of curing is repeated to form a 3-dimensional shape. In general, DLP printing speed is faster than SLA (Stereolithography Apparatus) technology which generates a 3D form by curing each point with a laser.
2. How are materials stored?
The product is one-time-use only, therefore any remaining resin in the resin tank must be collected and sent to the waste collection facility or naturally cured and discarded. However, after opening the aluminum container, any remaining resin may be used.
Avoid direct sunlight and store in dark, dry place in room temperature. After opening the lid of the aluminum container, keep it sealed to protect any resin left inside.
The expiration date of the product is stated on the product label, therefore, do not use if the expiration date has exceeded (Link to use and storage of materials page).
3. How long is the shelf life of materials?
The shelf life for materials based on production date is as follows:
DIOnavi-SG : 2 years, DIOnavi-C&B : 1 year, DIOnavi-Model : 2 years, DIOnavi-Cast : 1 year
The shelf life and expiration date are the same under condition that the storage guidelines are followed after the container is opened.
4. Is the material remaining in the resin tank re-usable?
Materials are normally one-time use only therefore continuous re-use of remaining materials is not recommended. Reusing materials can deter the quality of the final results (Link to use and storage of materials page).
5. How long does the resin tank film last before replacement?
The film can generate fifty-thousand layers (200 prints of 25mm height forms), however if the film breaks due to improper use, it must be replaced (Link How to manage equipment after printing page).
